Ok so I have to admit this isn't the prettiest skate on the market, nor is it the most durable, but it's certainly a major revolution. At one point I was deciding between these and Salomon ST-I. I did not try on the Roces before I bought the Salomons. I tried my friend's on a few months after I had the ST-I. They feel totally different.
First off, the zipper is needed because the laces are long and will get in the skate's way. The buckle is interesting. Personally I didn't like it, but some might. The belt part of the buckle is permanently inside the cuff, you have to adjust it then slide it into the buckle part and snap it.
I didn't have high expectations of this skate, but it proved me wrong. The biomex is an awesome idea for those who love the feeling of loose light weight skating. These things are light as K2, and as manueverable as a sock. I was astonished by how manueverable they were.
The souls on these are huge, bigger than any skate's souls i've seen yet. you just hop on a rail and slide with no effort.
If you want something that feels as light and as flexible as a sock rather than as heavy, stiff, and durable as a boot, get these.
I have my doubts on the durability of the skate however seeing as how it seems to be mostly liner and thin plastic. It also increases the chances of injuries to the ankle because it is less supportive.
This is a skate worth considering in my opinion. Don't buy a skate without trying this first.
